Best For Your Money

"Mares" make great products and this regulator is one of them. It encompasses an all-metal technology which means it is made out of corrosion-proof nickel and chrome-plated brass. This allows it to perform better in cold water (so warm water is a cinch). It has lots of fancy named features that make it one of the best. The first stage valve has what is called the SCS seal (Spherical Core Seal), which is really for very cold water. This reduces uncontrolled free-flow of your oxygen mix. There is also what is called the DFC (Dynamic Flow Control), which makes it possible to regulate even air pressure passage. This is important as it will reduce your breathing effort while diving which means more bottom time. What they call VAD (Vortex Assisted Design) is the part where the air from the hose goes through the second stage valve and into your mouthpiece though the tube. All this sounds fancy, but what it really means is you get a good easy regulated flow of oxygen (oxygen mix) from your tank to your mouthpiece. This regulator is for all diving temperatures, but it is one of the best made on the market and well worth the money.

Note: This regulator has been tested at over 300 feet in depth, but you should never go past 130 feet for wany reason. Check PADI diving rules and regulations.
