The Mares Carbon 42 Regulator combines the cutting-edge technology of the Mares regulators using the lightest material possible. It’s made of chopped carbon fibers put together in between two sheets of carbon composite for a strong yet lightweight casing. With the thermal conductivity of the carbon in the second stage, the Mares Carbon 42 is geared for cold water dives.

According to Scubadiving.com, the Mares Carbon 42 “handled all breathing-machine tests with above average marks and was simple to use, easy to breathe and bone dry in the water.” It’s also a bit pricey as compared to the other regulators but the Mares Carbon 42 can deliver and able to withstand extreme temperatures.
